(I just realized that I have accidentally deleted the post before this one.. It has something about me meeting my net friend SF for the first time and going for a movie with him, and the anxieties of waiting for baby.. But oh well, this is the continuation..)
This will be my one and only red entry. :) HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!! :)
A lot of happy things happened in the interval between my last entry and this one. The most important one is that I can strike off one of resolutions I made for this year:
- Get myself a car
This is the one thing I look forward to this year. Yes, I got my baby on 19 January 09. Nice 'birth date' right? Actually he was 'born' only the week before but not too sure on the exact date they put the last piece on him. ;) I was all panicky collecting him from the Perodua showroom at Glenmarie. Thank God for a forgiving and understanding supervisor, she rescheduled my training that afternoon (it was a Monday) so I could take leave to go collect baby. Mum had the chance to drive my car back from Glenmarie, which is a first for her since she's only driven around Klang town and is more of a town driver than a highway driver. But from what I see, she shared the euphoria I was going through as I brought baby home. This baby of mine has my birth date as the car's number plate. ;)
Spent the next few days 'equipping' baby so he'll truly be roadworthy. What I mean by equipping is I had to go get the steering lock, the rubber mats (he came with those carpet types), shoulder belt padding, steering wheel cover. Geez, after all the stuff put in, he looks really good. Haha. Actually the deco suggests its a guy's car but actually its mine! :) The only clue which could tell whether the owner is a lady or guy is Honeydew. Its actually a Sanrio toy I got from McD which has followed me around ever since (cos I love its name.. Honeydew!).
Now picking up on what I should be doing as a deputy/assistant supervisor. There is lots to learn, and at the same time I have to naturally be patient and steady in whatever I do. "Leading by example, and respecting others as you would yourself".
Met another net friend, CS at Subang Parade for dinner. Gosh, talk about first impression. Well, he definitely would stand out cos he was tall and smart looking. Got to know him better through dinner, and yes, there was that awkward moment every now and then. Realized that he is a quiet guy so had to be a little noisier than usual to keep the conversation going. But one thing I noticed about him is when he smiles, his whole facial expression changes. A total change from the serious face he wears most of the time. It was sure surprise when he smiled and when he's not. I hope he would talk more though. :P
Chinese New Year came and went. CNY day 1 was spent driving all the way to Seremban for Mum's family gathering. My Uncle and Aunt from Singapore joined us this year, which is a great thing. Well, the not so good thing is that my Aunt asked me the dreaded question: "So when are you going to get married?". My answer? Wait first, lemme go find myself a good guy to date first. Of course my cousin burst out laughing. Geez, I AM REALLY THAT OLD already! -___-" Well, the driving didn't stop there. Dad's family had a gathering in the evening so had to drive back to Pandamaran from Seremban to attend that gathering. Ooo.. cousin brought her boyfriend from Holland. Haha.. Got all the adults talking since he's an Ang Moh in a typical Chinese village house. Talk about contrast. :)
CNY day 2 had me driving to Damansara to Aunt's place. Celebrated niece's birthday there. Ooo.. At the last minute I decided to get her a wallet and handbag from Tropicana Life since its sweet and she can use it for quite sometime. She's after all a young lady and quite girly too, all sweet and all. :) Spent time chatting with my cousins and got to know a lot about what they have been up to. CNY is definitely a time to catch up on each others' lives.
Its back to work for me on CNY day 3. My team has 6 persons including Supervisor, but one of my team mates is on leave along with Supervisor, so there should be 4 persons left to handle the queue and calls. What happens is another team member calls in sick in the morning so we're left with 3. Talk about havoc! @_@ But the consolation is that the volume of calls/mails could be worse if it was not for the holidays. The consolation to the heavy workload is that I get to go for dinner with SF! :D Yeah, and he managed to persuade me to drive all the way to Puchong to meet him. Talk about me being crazy. Never mind. I get to learn a new route, and I get to meet him again. This is meeting number 3 with him. One thing I realize is that there is never an awkward moment with him. Yep, he's a chatterbox alright. So when 2 chatterboxes sit and talk, it would be non-stop. Lol. Would I get to meet him again? This one I really don't know. Lets see if we get to meet again. :)
Now baby has already clocked 700+ and would be due for his first service any time now (the first service is at 1k).
Wondering what I would be rambling about in my next entry...
