My Valentine's Day

This is a belated entry on how I ended up spending Valentine's Day..

Feb 14 just sort of came and went. Of all the days that I actually dread, that one is one of them. I met a few guys online who asked me what I would be up to on that day, and I nonchalantly said that I would be staying home. Well, guess the only reason I am saying that is cos I am still single, and that day is when couples are most active. Actually it is just another day, but because of the massive publicity, the air is sickly sweet and emphasis is on that little shape of a heart.

The surprise I got the day before V-day came in a box, a big box, 3 times the size of a shoe box (girls, you will know how big that would be). It was delivered to the office, sent by courier, all the way from Penang! :) I knew who it is from, but what I did not expect was what was in that box.

Let me show you...

(this is what the box looks like..)

(.. and this is who is inside the box)

He is a darling, isn't he? (I meant the bear, not the sender). He looks EXACTLY like the pictures on the box! ;) If you are wondering who is the sender, he is my big bro in Penang. Wanted to cheer me up knowing I will be "alone" on V-Day this year, so sweet of him. For now this darling bear is sitting quietly in his box in my room while I figure out where to put him. Thought of leaving him in my car, but then it could be dangerous (you know what they say about cars having plush toys in them would means that the owners are ladies?).

Had fun on V-day with the girls YM and AN. :) Believe it or not, these two pretty ladies are actually my colleagues. How neat is that? I love working where I am working in now cos I can get along fine with my colleagues! :D

Did not think much about how I am going to actually get through the day, but thanks to them, I ended up spending it at The Curve walking around, hanging out, spending time with each other. That is something I have not done in a long while, and it was well worth the trip.

Was suppose to be a dinner and movie outing, but it just ended as a dinner and hanging out session. I guess the fun part about the whole outing is that I was given the chance to go find out where YM stays and pick her up (and later send her home). Other than that, had good girl-friend time with each other.

A truly memorable V-day for me this year, definitely! :D
